My client, a highly reputable secondary school and part of an international chain are looking to recruit a Science teacher for a full time permanent role based at their South-east London campus.

The successful candidate will have a UK recognised teaching qualification (ENIC-NARIC for overseas qualifications) and will be able to offer Combined Science up to GCSE (Key Stage 4), UK QTS is not a prerequisite however it is advantageous. The school are welcoming applicants from all specialisms and can offer the successful applicant A-level (KS5) teaching if desired, however the timetable will remain primarily focused on Combined Science up to GCSE.

Unfortunately the school are not able to offer sponsorship so this position is only available to people with a UK right to work. This is a teaching role and therefore a TLR is not included.

The Ideal Candidate
As well as the previously stated requirements, the successful candidate will have previous experience as a Science Teacher and have the following skills/experience: 
  • Experience teaching the GCSE/IGCSE curriculum
  • Excellent grammar and language skills 
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint mandatory) 

The Salary
The school follow the UK teaching pay scales, for qualified teachers this range is £28,000 - £46,525 per annum based on last year’s pay scales.
