Job Title: Lecturer in Carpentry
Salary: Up to £41,603 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Hours: 37 hours per week

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lecturer in Carpentry to join our dynamic Construction team. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to learners across a range of carpentry and joinery programmes.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled craftsperson or experienced lecturer who wants to inspire the next generation of construction professionals.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of Carpentry and Joinery qualifications.

Assess, monitor, and support learners to achieve their full potential.

Contribute to the development and updating of teaching materials and schemes of work.

Maintain high standards of classroom management and learner engagement.

Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to at all times in practical workshop environments.

Participate in curriculum development and departmental activities as directed by the Programme Manager.
About You
You will have:

A relevant qualification in Carpentry and Joinery (minimum Level 3).

Ideally, a teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards one.

Strong industry experience with up-to-date practical knowledge.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A commitment to supporting learners to achieve their goals and progress in the construction industry.
