The Role

We’re working with a leading education provider to appoint a Carpentry Lecturer to join their growing Construction team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Carpentry professional to step into a teaching role (or continue their education career) and play a key part in developing the next generation of tradespeople.

You’ll deliver high-quality teaching across Levels 1–3, combining your industry experience with engaging delivery to drive student success.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver Carpentry teaching across Levels 1–3
  • Support and motivate learners to achieve strong outcomes
  • Act as Course Leader & Personal Tutor for Level 2 students
  • Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Deliver training to apprentices within the college setting
  • Work closely with leadership and the wider Construction team
  • Contribute to course development and continuous improvement
  • Monitor attendance, engagement, and progression

What We’re Looking For

  • Solid background in Carpentry (industry experience essential)
  • Passion for developing others and sharing knowledge
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Previous FE/teaching experience beneficial but not essential
