The Role
We’re working with a leading education provider to appoint a Carpentry Lecturer to join their growing Construction team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Carpentry professional to step into a teaching role (or continue their education career) and play a key part in developing the next generation of tradespeople.
You’ll deliver high-quality teaching across Levels 1–3, combining your industry experience with engaging delivery to drive student success.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver Carpentry teaching across Levels 1–3
- Support and motivate learners to achieve strong outcomes
- Act as Course Leader & Personal Tutor for Level 2 students
- Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Deliver training to apprentices within the college setting
- Work closely with leadership and the wider Construction team
- Contribute to course development and continuous improvement
- Monitor attendance, engagement, and progression
What We’re Looking For
- Solid background in Carpentry (industry experience essential)
- Passion for developing others and sharing knowledge
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous FE/teaching experience beneficial but not essential
