HE Construction Lecturer – Temporary / Part-Time
Locations: Doncaster (Mon–Tue) | Scunthorpe (Wed–Thu)
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
Contract Type: Temporary (with potential extension)
TR2 Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a Further and Higher Education provider to recruit an experienced HE Construction Lecturer to deliver a range of construction-related units across two campuses.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality teaching to HE Construction learners, ensuring all learning outcomes are met and students are supported through their academic programme.
Teaching Schedule & Units
Doncaster – Monday & Tuesday

Scunthorpe – Wednesday & Thursday

Unit 1: Pearson Project (afternoon delivery – handover available for the first couple of weeks)
Key Responsibilities
-
Deliver and assess HE Construction units in line with Pearson requirements
-
Plan and prepare engaging lessons and learning materials
-
Track learner progress and provide timely feedback
-
Support learners with assignments, projects, and assessments
-
Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records
-
Ensure compliance with quality assurance and awarding body standards
Essential Requirements
-
Experience delivering HE Construction programmes
-
Strong subject knowledge across construction technology, surveying, materials, and financial management
-
Teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed / equivalent) or willingness to work towards one

Assessor/Internal Verifier qualifications desirable
-
Experience with Pearson/BTEC HE frameworks
-
Valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

Ability to travel between Doncaster and Scunthorpe
