HE Construction Lecturer – Temporary / Part-Time

Locations: Doncaster (Mon–Tue) | Scunthorpe (Wed–Thu)
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
Contract Type: Temporary (with potential extension)

TR2 Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a Further and Higher Education provider to recruit an experienced HE Construction Lecturer to deliver a range of construction-related units across two campuses.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality teaching to HE Construction learners, ensuring all learning outcomes are met and students are supported through their academic programme.

Teaching Schedule & Units

Doncaster – Monday & Tuesday

  • Unit 2: Construction Technology

  • Unit 11: Financial Management in Construction

  • Unit 3: Science and Materials

  • Unit 7: Surveying and Setting Out

Scunthorpe – Wednesday & Thursday

  • Unit 2: Construction Technology

  • Unit 7: Surveying and Setting Out

  • Unit 1: Pearson Project (afternoon delivery – handover available for the first couple of weeks)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and assess HE Construction units in line with Pearson requirements

  • Plan and prepare engaging lessons and learning materials

  • Track learner progress and provide timely feedback

  • Support learners with assignments, projects, and assessments

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records

  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance and awarding body standards

Essential Requirements

  • Experience delivering HE Construction programmes

  • Strong subject knowledge across construction technology, surveying, materials, and financial management

  • Teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed / equivalent) or willingness to work towards one

  • Assessor/Internal Verifier qualifications desirable

  • Experience with Pearson/BTEC HE frameworks

  • Valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

  • Ability to travel between Doncaster and Scunthorpe
