HGV Tutor – Greater Manchester

We are currently supporting a respected training provider in Greater Manchester who is looking to appoint an experienced HGV Tutor on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Heavy Vehicle professional or existing tutor to join a growing organisation delivering high-quality apprenticeship training to the next generation of HGV technicians.


? The Role

You will be delivering to apprentices working towards the HGV Standard, teaching groups of up to 12 learners in a supportive, well-resourced environment.

The role includes classroom delivery, learner support, progress tracking and preparation/marking time — with one day per week working from home to support planning and administration.


? What’s on Offer

  • Salary circa £38,000 (negotiable depending on experience)

  • 25 days holiday + 8 statutory days

  • 6% employer pension contribution

  • 1 day per week remote working (lesson prep/marking)

  • Full-time, permanent contract


? Who We’re Looking For

  • Strong background in HGV / Heavy Vehicle maintenance and repair

  • Experience mentoring, supervising or training apprentices (teaching qualification desirable but not essential)

  • Knowledge of apprenticeship standards

  • Passion for developing learners

  • Based within reasonable commuting distance of Trafford Park, Manchester
