Location: Huntingdon
Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week (Monday–Friday, excluding Thursdays)
Contract: Full year
Salary: £24,050 – £35,401 per annum (pro rata)
(Equivalent full-time salary £29,662 – £43,662)
A well-established and high-performing further education provider is seeking an inspirational Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join its Care, Health and Early Years department at its Huntingdon campus.

The Role
You will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Level 2 and Level 3 Health and Social Care programmes, with involvement in the new T Level in Health Science planned for 2026.
In addition to teaching, you will undertake tutorial and learner support duties and may take on course leadership responsibilities for one or more programmes, depending on experience.
Teaching is primarily face-to-face, with agile working considered on a case-by-case basis.

Teaching & Subject Expertise

Strong subject knowledge in Health and Social Care or Health Science

Occupational competence and recent experience working in the health sector

Experience teaching and assessing FE Health and Social Care programmes

Creative, engaging lesson delivery and effective assessment practice

Commitment to continuous professional development
Learner Support & Personal Tutoring

Empathy and a learner-centred approach

Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students

Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of safeguarding and student welfare procedures
Qualifications

Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification

Full teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE or DTLLS/DTLS)

Candidates with a Level 3 teaching qualification who are willing to complete the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training will also be considered
