Engineering Tutor / Assessor – Engineering Maintenance

We’re working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded training provider to recruit an Engineering Tutor / Assessor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to step into education, or an existing trainer/assessor seeking a new challenge with flexibility and autonomy.
The Role
This is a hybrid, field-based position where you’ll support and assess learners in real workplace environments. You’ll play a key role in developing the next generation of engineers through hands-on coaching and assessment.
- Deliver and assess Engineering Maintenance programmes
- Conduct workplace visits, observations, and progress reviews
- Provide coaching and support to apprentices on-site
- Manage your own diary with flexible, self-directed working
- Cover a regional patch from Cheshire through to Yorkshire
What We’re Looking For
- Level 4 qualification (or above) in Engineering
- Industry experience in engineering maintenance
- Previous teaching, training, or assessing experience (desirable, not essential)
- Assessor qualification (advantageous but can be supported)
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
What’s on Offer
- Salary: £35,975 – £38,985 (depending on experience & qualifications)
- Car Allowance: £3,000+
- 37 hours per week with flexible working arrangements
