Are you a skilled machinist with strong milling experience looking to take your career in a new direction?
An established and highly regarded technical training provider is looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineering Instructor to deliver practical training in machining, with a strong focus on manual milling.
This is an excellent opportunity to step away from the tools and into a fulfilling role developing future engineers. No formal teaching experience is required – full training and qualifications will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver hands-on training in manual milling and other workshop techniques to apprentices and adult learners

Support learners in developing workshop competence, health & safety awareness, and machine handling skills

Provide 1:1 support, feedback, and guidance to trainees in a workshop environment

(Optional) Contribute to CNC instruction, if experienced

Maintain a safe, well-organised workshop and follow industry-aligned training standards
What We’re Looking For:

Strong background in manual machining, particularly milling

Time-served engineer, technician, or workshop supervisor

CNC experience is an advantage, but not required

A positive communicator with a passion for passing on knowledge

Willingness to undertake a fully funded Level 5 teaching/instructor qualification

Previous experience working with apprentices or junior staff (desirable but not essential)
