We are looking for someone with strong industry expertise who can create engaging and relevant learning experiences that reflect current automotive practices and emerging technologies. Previous experience in curriculum development or course planning would be highly beneficial, as you will contribute to keeping programmes up to date, practical and aligned with industry standards.

Motor Vehicle Lecturer

You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of engineering talent, delivering high?impact, high?quality training both in the classroom and out in the workplace. You’ll design engaging learning programmes, expertly prepare apprentices for gateway and end?point assessments, and carry out professional workplace assessments that meet the highest standards set by industry and awarding bodies.

You’ll work with apprentices across a range of programmes, including Engineering Manufacturing Technician Level 4, Machining Level 3, Mechatronics Level 3, and Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technicians Level 3.

You’ll champion learner success by conducting meaningful progress reviews, maintaining accurate and compliant records, and supporting recruitment through interviews, skills assessments and employer engagement.

In this role you will guide apprentices to ensure they achieve their full potential and the best possible End Point Assessment grade in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

<ul>
	<li>Take overall responsibility for an agreed caseload of learners to provide high quality training, coaching, mentoring, instruction and assessment to learners to achieve their apprenticeship and/or qualification in a timely manner.
	<li>Act as main point of contact for employers and learners, creating positive relationships with employers to support in the training and development of learners and, providing feedback on progress as required.
	<li>Provide high quality training, coaching, instruction and assessment to learners both in College and in their place of work as appropriate.
	<li>Initially assess the learners to determine their readiness for the apprenticeship programme, and to establish an individual learning plan to support their progression through the programme.
	<li>Design and provide high quality training, coaching, instruction and programmes of learning, through training plans, that give learners opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours holistically, in sufficient depth, and in a timely manner, ready for the Gateway and End Point Assessment (EPA), mapped out in the individual learning plan.
	<li>Work with employers to establish activities and tasks that allow learners to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours – considering how these might be developed on and off-the-job.
	<li>Review the learner’s development of KSB with both the learner and their employer.
	<li>To promote the college values and adhere to awarding body practices, ensuring best practice is applied at all times.
