Multi-Skills Lecturer – Construction

Location: Doncaster
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Long-term Temporary – Sick Cover
Start Date: September 2026

TR2 Recruitment are currently working with a Further Education provider in Doncaster who are looking for an experienced Multi-Skills Lecturer to join their Construction department on a long-term temporary basis, covering a period of sickness.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Construction Lecturer or Multi-Skills Tutor looking for a full-time position from September.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical teaching across a range of Construction Multi-Skills programmes, supporting learners to develop both their practical skills and underpinning knowledge.

You will be expected to:

  • Deliver high-quality practical and theory-based sessions within Construction Multi-Skills.
  • Teach and support learners across relevant Construction levels.
  • Plan and prepare engaging lessons and learning activities.
  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and assessment documentation.
  • Ensure all practical activities are delivered safely and in line with Health & Safety requirements.
  • Support learners with their development, progression and achievement.
  • Work effectively as part of the wider Construction teaching team.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have a strong background within the Construction industry, ideally with experience across multiple trades or a Multi-Skills background.

You should have:

  • Relevant Level 3 Construction qualification or equivalent industry experience.
  • Previous experience delivering Construction or Multi-Skills training within an FE, training or educational environment.
  • Strong practical knowledge across a range of Construction disciplines.
  • A recognised teaching qualification is desirable.
  • An assessor qualification would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to learner achievement and development.
  • A strong understanding of Construction Health & Safety.
